Broccoli sprouts contain a naturally-occurring compound called sulforaphane glucosinolate, which has, according to research, an antioxidant action which helps maintain a healthy circulatory system. They have a fresh taste and make an interesting addition to salads and other dishes.
Directions: Rinse thoroughly in fresh water before sowing and before consumption. Development of tiny fibrous roots may occur. Per tray/jar: one tablespoon of seeds. Soaking: six hours. Temperature: 18-22°C. Watering: twice daily. Ready to eat: after approximately four to six days.
