Seagreens Organic Seaweed - Seagreens Products
Seagreens® organic seaweed capsules and granules offer a simple way to dramatically increase your intake of beneficial nutrients and support overall health and wellness.
Sea vegetables are some of the most nutritionally dense foods available, making them ideal for athletes, people recovering from illness and anyone who wants to pack a powerful nutritional punch into their green smoothie!
The three types of seaweed in Seagreens offer a range of taste profiles, making Seagreens hugely popular with chefs looking to enhance their dishes! Ascophyllum has a deep, slightly salty taste; Fucus is rich and smoky; and Pelvetia has a mild taste that helps tie the flavour profile together. Pelvetia is also a rich source of essential fatty acids, including omega 3, 6 and 9.
Wrack seaweeds are a type of brown seaweed with a comprehensive, balanced nutrient profile. This type of seaweed is full of chlorophyll and electrolytes, helping to maintain hydration and cell signalling to support muscle function and overall health.
Sea vegetables are particularly beneficial for bone health as they are a fantastic source of calcium and are alkaline-forming, helping the body to balance pH. In fact, seaweeds contain around 10 times the calcium of cow’s milk, without the acidifying effect of dairy!
Seaweeds are also an excellent source of iron (containing significantly more than red meat), and support natural detoxification processes to help keep blood healthy. In addition to minerals and vitamins, seaweeds contain a high level of beneficial polysaccharides, a type of dietary fibre that help feed friendly bacteria in the gut (probiotics). This means that regular consumption of seaweed could enhance digestion and absorption of nutrients from other foods and support overall gastrointestinal health.
A good intake of prebiotic foods such as seaweeds and probiotics can also support optimal synthesis of nutrients such as vitamin B12 in the GI tract. Brown seaweed also contains fucoidans, polysaccharides that have demonstrated anticoagulant, antiviral, antithrombotic, and antioxidant activity, and support for healthy immune function.
No other natural food can offer the impressive array of nutrients found in wrack seaweed, so add some Seagreens granules to your morning juice routine, or take the convenient capsules to fill in any nutritional gaps and keep your blood at an optimal pH.
