The abbreviation OPC stands for oligomeric proanthocyanidins. The effects of OPCs were first described in the 1950s. OPCs belong to the bioflavonoids, powerful antioxidants of vegetable origin. Grapeseed is an important source of OPCs. Taken together, OPCs and vitamin C (especially in the form of magnesium ascorbate) enhance each other’s effect.
