Darmocare Pre contains a mixture of inulin and FOS. Fermentation of undigested food components (such as dietary fibre) is an important function of the microflora in the large intestine. The composition of this flora is not static, but varies depending mainly on food consumption and medicine use (such as antibiotics).

Inulin and FOS (fructooligosaccharides, also called oligofructose) are short chains of glucose and fructose units. Dietary fibre, inulin and oligofructose escape the digestion process in the small intestine and reach the large intestine virtually intact. However these substances are used by a small group of good bacteria in the large intestine: the bifidobacteria. The intestinal flora of a baby largely consists of bifidobacteria; in elderly people these strains are strongly underrepresented.

Darmocare Pre provides a balanced intestinal flora by selectively stimulating bifidoflora. Darmocare Pre can easily be combined with the other Darmocare products. It provides the good bifidobacteria; the prebiotics provide the nutrition for the good bifidobacteria.

Warning:

When you start using, gas and cramping may occur. After a while, generally after a week, the body has adjusted itself and the complaints are reduced or eliminated. In case of persistent complaints, reduce the initial dose by half for the first two weeks. Interactions with regular medication and other natural health products may occur.
