Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble B vitamin found naturally in foods such as poultry, fish, eggs, potatoes, bananas, and wholegrains. In supplement form, pyridoxine hydrochloride (HCl) is the most widely used and is found in the majority of B6 tablets and capsules. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P5P), also written as P-5-P, is the biologically active coenzymated form and does not require conversion in the body.
