Vitamin C Complex

Vitamin C complex supplements combine ascorbic acid with naturally occurring plant compounds that are found alongside vitamin C in whole food sources. The most commonly included co-factors are bioflavonoids, a group of polyphenolic compounds found in citrus peel and pulp, along with rosehips, acerola cherry, quercetin, and sea buckthorn. These ingredients are often included on the basis that vitamin C in whole foods is accompanied by such compounds, and that they may enhance its absorption and retention.
